Barbercita is built for Barbers and shop owners. Barbercita is owned and operated by Barbercita Co LLC, a New York limited liability company based in Cayuga County, New York. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle information for Client App users, Barbers, and shop teams.

How We Use Information

Provide booking, calendar, messaging, payments, and client management features.

Provide reporting/analytics for Barbers and shops.
Send promotional marketing only where permitted and with opt-out controls.

Marketing Use: Names, Photos, and Content

We do not use private client booking data as public advertising content. Client names and photos may be used in marketing only where consent is provided, including consent collected during signup.

Client email addresses and phone numbers are used for service and account communications, not public-facing marketing content, unless separate consent is provided.

For Barber and shop marketing content (for example logos, shop photos, testimonials, and public-facing profile content), usage may occur to promote Barbercita or your shop relationship with Barbercita where rights or permission exist.

Who We Share Data With

Service providers needed to operate Barbercita (for example payment processing, cloud hosting, messaging, and analytics tools).
The Barber/shop you book with so services can be fulfilled.

We do not sell personal data to third-party data brokers.

Data Retention

We retain data as long as needed to operate services, meet contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and comply with legal/accounting requirements. Retention periods may vary based on the data type and account status.

New York Law and Cayuga County

Barbercita is based in Cayuga County, New York. Our privacy and security practices are designed to align with applicable U.S. and New York requirements, including New York General Business Law Article 39-F (including data security protections and breach notification requirements).

Where legally permitted, privacy-related disputes or claims may be handled under New York law, with venue in courts serving Cayuga County, New York, unless another forum is required by applicable law or contract.

Update profile/account information through your account when available.
Unsubscribe from marketing emails using unsubscribe links.
Request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us.
Request that specific marketing media/content be reviewed or removed.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No system is 100% secure, but we continuously work to secure data in transit, at rest, and in access controls.

Card-on-file and bank account payment details are handled by Stripe and its secure payment infrastructure. Barbercita does not store full card numbers or full bank account credentials on our own servers.

Children's Privacy

Barbercita is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
